1. Application fields

G450 wire rope clips are widely used in the following scenarios:

• Engineering machinery: Heavy-duty wire rope fastening, tensioning and fixing for large cranes, gantry cranes, hoisting equipment and heavy handling machinery.

• Marine and offshore: Ship mooring line fixing, offshore platform rigging connection, port heavy cargo lifting and large vessel deck rope securing.

• Industry and heavy infrastructure: Large bridge stay cable auxiliary fastening, large mining equipment rope locking, heavy construction hoisting system fixation, wind power and large energy project rigging connection.

• Special extreme environments: Hot-dip galvanized & stainless steel G450 clips are perfectly suitable for high-corrosion scenarios such as coastal marine engineering, offshore operation platforms, chemical industry facilities and long-term outdoor exposed heavy load working conditions.
2. Performance and process characteristics

• Process type:

◦ Forged integral forming: G450 US type wire rope clips adopt high-grade drop forged carbon steel integral forging process, dense metal grain, far higher structural strength than cast products, no internal defects such as pores and sand holes, excellent impact resistance and fatigue resistance.

◦ Precision heat treatment: Key stress parts are subject to professional heat treatment process, overall hardness is uniform, strong shear resistance, can withstand long-term repeated heavy load tension.

• Carrying capacity: It belongs to heavy industrial grade rigging clip, covering complete specification range from small to large diameter wire ropes. Standard designed safety factor reaches 5:1 and above, breaking load is far higher than DIN1142 standard products, fully meets heavy load fixing, formal hoisting and high tension working requirements.

• Matching with wire rope: Strictly manufactured in accordance with US Federal specification, U-bolt radian and saddle inner cavity are precisely matched with corresponding steel wire rope diameter. Clamping contact area is larger, force is evenly distributed, will not crush or damage wire rope strands, locking force is greatly improved.
3. Selection and use precautions

• Selection suggestions:

◦ Light static load & temporary bundling scenarios: Conventional galvanized G450 clips can be selected for general land fixing and bundling work.

◦ Heavy dynamic load & formal hoisting scenarios: Drop forged G450 heavy-duty wire rope clips are mandatory preferred, with ultimate tensile strength and long-lasting service life.

◦ High corrosion & outdoor long-term use scenarios: Hot-dip galvanized or 304/316 stainless steel G450 models are recommended for extended service cycle.

• Installation specifications:

◦ Tighten the hex nuts evenly and symmetrically on both sides to ensure uniform compression on the wire rope; after the first full load test, perform secondary re-torque to eliminate slack.

◦ The spacing between adjacent G450 clips shall be 6~8 times of the wire rope diameter. The installation direction must be unified: the saddle (main body) must always be installed on the live/stressed side of the rope, and the U-bolt on the dead end side.

◦ It is strictly prohibited to use less than the specified number of clips for installation. Regularly inspect nut tightness, body wear, deformation and corrosion during use; replace deformed, cracked or severely worn clips immediately to eliminate major safety risks.
