DIN1142 Wire Rope Clips Product Introduction

1. Application fields

DIN1142 clips are widely used in the following scenarios:

• Engineering machinery: wire rope fastening, tensioning and fixing for small and medium-sized cranes, lifting platforms, hoists and handling equipment.

• Transportation: wharf cargo bundling, railway auxiliary cable fixing, ship deck rope fastening and port logistics auxiliary connection.

• Industry and infrastructure: power communication cable erection, mining auxiliary rope fixing, construction site temporary rope locking, bridge construction auxiliary cable fastening.

• Special environments: stainless steel DIN1142 clips are applicable to anti-corrosion scenarios such as food processing plants, coastal engineering, outdoor landscaping and low-corrosion industrial environments.

2. Performance and process characteristics

• Process type:

• Forging process: DIN1142 standard clips mostly adopt precision forging process, compact internal structure, no pores, cracks and other casting defects, stable mechanical properties.

• Malleable cast iron process: a small number of light-duty models adopt cast molding, low cost, only applicable to non-heavy load fixed scenarios.

• Carrying capacity: The load range covers conventional specifications, the maximum working load varies with product specifications, and the standard safety factor is designed to be 5 times, meeting the requirements of conventional rope fixing and light lifting.

• Matching with wire rope: The clip size is strictly matched with the wire rope diameter, the U-shaped ring inner clearance fits the wire rope perfectly, ensuring firm clamping and no damage to the wire rope surface.
3. Selection and use precautions

• Selection suggestions:

• Light static load scenes (such as fixed cables, bundling ropes): cast DIN1142 clips can be selected, and stainless steel models are preferred for outdoor and humid environments.

• Medium load and frequent use scenes (such as mechanical rope tensioning, lifting auxiliary): forged DIN1142 clips are preferred, with higher structural strength and longer service life.

• Installation specifications:

• Tighten the nut evenly until the wire rope is properly pressed, and re-tighten the nut after the first bearing to prevent loosening.

• The spacing between adjacent clips is 6-7 times the diameter of the wire rope, the installation direction is unified, and the pressure plate is attached to the stressed side of the wire rope.

• Regularly check the fastening state, wear degree and rust condition of the clip, and replace damaged or severely worn products in time to avoid potential safety hazards.
