DIN582 Eye Nuts

DIN582 Eye Nuts

DIN582 lifting eye nut with high strength & corrosion resistance. Galvanized & stainless steel options. Standard DIN582 eye nuts for safe lifting points & heavy duty applications.
DIN582 eye nut compliant with latest standard. Forged lifting nut with metric thread, high working load limit. Suitable for -20℃ to 200℃ industrial lifting use.
High quality DIN582 lifting eye nut. Galvanized carbon steel & marine grade A4 stainless steel. Reliable eye nuts for slings, lifting points & mechanical fixing.

1. Standard and version update

• Current standard: The latest version is DIN 582:2024-05 (published in 2024), replacing DIN 582:2010 and DIN 582:2018. It updates normative references, technical delivery conditions, and adds dimension legends and annexes aligned with the EU Machinery Directive (2006/42/EG).

• Scope of application: Specifies performance requirements for steel and stainless steel eyebolts. Suitable for -20℃ to +200℃ environments. Primarily used for lifting equipment or mechanical fixing points with vertical or angular loads.

2. Materials and classification

• Material type:

◦ Carbon steel: C15E / 20# steel, galvanized or blue passivated. For general industrial use.

◦ Stainless steel: Mainly A2 (304) / A4 (316) austenitic steel (>90% market share). High corrosion resistance for harsh environments.

• Strength grade:

◦ Standard: Forged with a shoulder; allows limited angular loads (≤45°).

◦ Heavy-duty: Reinforced for multi-leg sling systems; withstands off-axis loads up to 60°.

3. Product specifications and dimensions

• Thread size: M6 to M100 (common: M6–M48; larger sizes per standard table).

• Load capacity: Working tension 0.15T to 25T (size-dependent).

4. Installation and safety requirements

• Installation guidelines:

◦ Fully engage threads until the nut seats firmly; ensure mating surface contact.

◦ Install vertically on flat, clean surfaces; avoid sharp edges.

◦ Do not apply transverse loads; use washers for proper seating.

• Test requirements:

◦ Tensile test: 2.5× working load.

◦ Fatigue test: 20,000 cycles at 1.5× load.

◦ Complies with ASME B30.26 and EU Machinery Directive.

5. Application areas

• Industrial scenarios: Ports, power, shipbuilding, petrochemical, mining, aerospace. Used with bolts/studs for lifting slings or fixed equipment.

• Special treatment: CORRUD-DT coating (20× corrosion resistance vs. standard galvanizing) for marine and highly corrosive environments.
