1. Application fields

DIN741 clips are widely used in the following scenarios:

– Engineering machinery: wire rope fixing for cranes, winches, and lifting equipment.

– Transportation: port loading and unloading, railway cables, and ship anchor chain connections.

– Industry and infrastructure: rope fixing in power line cables, mining equipment, and bridge and tunnel construction.

– Special environments: stainless steel clips are suitable for chemical, marine engineering and other scenes that require corrosion resistance.

2. Performance and process characteristics

– Process type:

– Casting process: low cost, but there may be defects such as pores and cracks, suitable for static load scenes.

– Die forging process (such as American standard G450 clip): higher strength, strong impact resistance, suitable for dynamic or high load scenes.

– Carrying capacity: The maximum load can reach 100 tons (depending on the specifications and materials), and the safety factor is usually designed to be 4 times.

– Matching with wire rope: the clamp head needs to match the wire rope diameter, and the inner clearance of the U-shaped ring should be 1-3mm larger than the wire rope diameter to ensure the tightening effect.

3. Selection and use precautions

– Selection suggestions:

– Static scenes (such as fixed cables): cast clamp heads or stainless steel materials can be selected.

– Dynamic or high-load scenes (such as lifting): die-forging products are preferred, and the surface coating must be intact.

– Installation specifications:

– Tighten the U-bolt until the wire rope is flattened by about 1/3, and tighten it again after being stressed.

– The spacing between rope clamps is 6-8 times the diameter of the wire rope, the arrangement direction must be consistent, and a “safety bend” is installed to monitor sliding.

– Avoid long-term repeated use, and check for wear or rust regularly.
